Outdoor Family Portraits

When I woke up this morning, snow was already blanketing the ground outside. Since I stayed indoors all day, I thought it would be a fine time to share a photo from a family portrait shoot that I did a few months ago up at Lake Gaston, near the edge of summer.

This was taken up at Lake Gaston in Macon, NC this summer. All of their family had gotten together on a rare occasion in order to celebrate a birthday, so they had me come up to take some photos of them all together. On-location portraits are some of my favorite, because the surroundings really personalize each and every photograph. The home and yard was beautifully decorated and made for some fantastic shots, giving us many keepers.

While I really can’t wait until the weather breaks again to get back outdoors more, I’d also love to shoot some winter-themed photos as well! If there are any brave souls that would be willing to brave the elements and try to get some great winter shots (coordinating with the snow would be fantastic, depending on safe traveling conditions), let’s get in touch.
